TAP Portugal returns to Berlin from Lisbon

TAP Portugal’s new route between the capitals of Portugal and Germany was welcomed to Berlin

TAP Portugal returned to the German capital on 5 June when the Star Alliance airline began operating five times weekly from its Lisbon (LIS) hub to Berlin Schönefeld (SXF) with 132-seat A319 aircraft.

Berlin is TAP’s fifth German destination after Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Düsseldorf. The airline previously served the German capital at Berlin Tegel until 2001. Notably, after the delay in opening Berlin Brandenburg, TAP Portugal will serve Schönefeld rather than its partner Lufthansa’s hub at Tegel. Competition on the new route comes from easyJet’s three flights a week.
